We’ve only had one session so far, however our 4 month old pup has already shown DRASTIC improvement on her separation anxiety! Ben gave us a detailed homework plan to follow (which takes maybe 20 minutes) and it has been nothing but fun and productive!

We got two male cocker spaniels just before Halloween of 2023. They are now 8 months old and to say the least over time they were barking and howling at any and every sound they heard both inside and outside of the house, day and night. We honestly were beginning to question if we were going to be able to keep them. The barking was starting to effect both of us-our work, sleep, and were even not getting along with each other or the puppies due to the stress. To say were at the end of our rope was exactly where we were. We both felt that we were not speaking the language of these two adorable, loving and highly intelligent puppies and they deserved more. After a lot of research I found Bark Busters In-Home Dog Training and Ben Miller. The training being done at home, without the use of treats, clickers, prong collars, etc., was a huge selling point. Our first session with Ben was two days ago and lasted for 3 hours. From the moment he arrived everything changed and for the first time in months I could feel my anxiety and stress levels dropping. The very easy techniques he taught us work and we can see that the puppies anxiety levels have gone down as well. They are not reacting to every sound they hear and if they do we can address it and it stops almost instantly. If you are at your wits end because your furry friend will not stop barking, or has other behavioral issues, etc., you owe it to yourself, spouse, children, and/or neighbors to contact Ben @ Bark Busters and reclaim the peace in your home. If the cost is holding you back, stop and do the math for what you would pay on an hourly basis for this type of support. Hands down this program is well worth the cost. In our case we cannot put a dollar amount on the first session and how it has brought a sense of peace back to our home.

From our very first session with Ben at Bark Busters, we noticed an immediate improvement in our dogs' behavior. Ben Miller is the best dog trainer ever. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I live in Easton, Maryland and have a rescue pitbull mix with some red zone excitability issues. Amazing results and a sound, understandable basis.

It was my pleasure working with Ben from Bark Busters. I’ve had many dogs in my lifetime but never experienced Doggie Anxiety until I got my dog Pepper. We couldn’t leave her alone in the house by herself for any length of time without returning home to find shredded house curtains and venetian blinds. In our 1 initial consultation, Ben was able to give me sound advice on how to treat our situation. He was able to do more in 1 hour than I was able to do in the 2 months that we’ve had Pepper ( our adopted German Shepherd mix from PG Animal Control). He was able to without any force get Pepper to go into her crate and after a few minutes she actually went to sleep. She wouldn’t go near the crate before Ben worked with her. I feel more relaxed and confident in myself and ready to embark on this journey with our dog. She wasn’t a bad dog I was a bad Dad. Ben helped me see things from Pepper's perspective not mine. I would highly recommend Ben and Bark Busters over other trainers. No need for shock collars and physical force. Just training, patience and love.

This was our first time using the Bark Busters method and I am a huge fan! Their methods worked instantly and were easy to follow! Ben was great at demonstrating and explaining everything to us. UPDATE: Ben came back out to help us out today. There was no additional cost since that is included in the original pricing. We had managed to confuse our dog, who is one of the most docile breeds around, and he had developed some more aggressive behaviors. Again, within MINUTES of Ben walking us through what to do, we saw a completely different dog! I cannot say enough good things about what Barkbusters does! It is simply amazing!!

First meeting and I am already seeing a difference in my dog. I never would’ve thought we’d find the perfect trainer for my dog but here we are. From our first encounter with the call assistant, Liz, to the times we’ve needed Ben after our first appointment, the level of care, professionalism, patience, and knowledge, can’t be beat. As a frugal family of four, the price accompanying the service was something we considered. However, we envisioned using a less reputable establishment and then still needing Bark Buster’s services in the long run. WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED! Ben Miller, spent over 3 hours working with us (and our dog) on our first session. When he left, I am not exaggerating when I say, he left us with a different dog. He taught us how to communicate with our dog in a way she understands, respects, and ultimately listens to! It also is not an exaggeration to say that our quality of life has been better because of this. The added stress of a wild dog (along with wild kids, lol) takes a toll. Things are completely different now! If you are on the fence about this service, DON’T BE!! Having my best furry friend also be a good listener now, is worth its weight in gold!

Ben was amazing for our first training session with our rescue lab from the shelter! Ben is patient with both dogs and the owners (who are really the ones who need training). After one session I am already able to control my dog so he doesn’t jump, nip or run to the door. Our next lesson on leash walking went amazing and has been life changing ! I also feel assured with the Gold package that Ben will continue to return anytime my dog needs a training refresh for the rest of his life.

Very successful first training with our 8 week old Bernese Mountain puppy. Shocked at how quickly she picked up on training methods. Both my husband and I feel better prepared to work with our pup!

Ben was very professional in training us on how to handle our two dogs. The dogs are different with one being reactive to sound and Ben outlined separate training plans for each dog with this key difference. We see immediate and continuing progress 3 days into the training plan with the younger dog. Our older dog will require more time with different goals in mind however even he is showing progress for us. We are looking forward to our continued training sessions

Jodie's expertise has been invaluable! We were seriously contemplating giving our 16 month old Weimaraner back to the breeder or a rescue due to possession aggression and nipping at friends and family. We were at our wits end! This pup is our 2nd Weim and so much has been different with him this time around. We thought he was a problem dog and could not be helped, boy were we wrong! We have a wonderful Jack Russel who, unfortunately, loves to bark too much. Jacks are notoriously difficult to train. But a session with our wonderful trainer and we were able to limit our Jack's obsession with barking almost immediately. Thank you Ben and Jodie

I had excellent success previously with an alpha rottweiler-mix using what I learned from watching and reading Caesar Milan. That was 15 years ago and it seems I had lost my knack and was unable to take my new rescue (3 years old) on a calm walk. With some additional tools from Ben it's working beautifully. The basic approach using body language and calm energy are the same as Milan's approach. By starting with indoor exercises - such as claiming space, food and doors --, both my dog and I were more in-sync before moving outside to walking in a more distracting environment. Ben is THE DOG WHISPERER OF MARYLAND! It's now day-two after the first session with Ben and my dog and I are walking calmly together. Inside behavior is also improving dramatically. I really like that I'll be able to call or email Ben as I have questions or run into problems and as we advance to more difficult areas.

Tito and I learned more than expected from Ben, our Trainer. We know it will take time and consistency. Our family is already noticing a positive difference, more importantly, we believe Tito is going to be happier in his golden years.

I am so glad that I called Bark Busters. My dog started barking at dogs when we moved to our new neighborhood, which made walking her very stressful for all of us. Ben explained why she was reactive and taught us how to communicate with her in a way that she immediately understood. Within the first visit, we walked her and ran into her top nemesis without issue! We are so excited for what’s to come as we learn how to communicate with her more effectively and she becomes more and more calm. She is already so much calmer and happier. Right away in our first session Jodie put us at ease and quickly noticed that my anxious GSD was training me instead of the other way around. With a few tools, I’m now in control and Appa is calmer and happier.

Life changing! I contacted Bark Busters because I have two mini Golden Doodles (one, who is six and very well-behaved and one who is one and not so much). Initially, I had an in-depth phone consultation to share my issues and my goals for my dogs. Next, Ben came to my home and taught and explained many of the Bark Busters’ methods. He modeled them and walked me through each step, until I felt confident and was doing things correctly. After, he left, I immediately began practicing and applying the methods with my dogs- with IMMEDIATE results!!!! It was unbelievable to me. The next day I took my dogs to visit my almost 80 year-old mom. That was another reason I wanted help, was so the dogs wouldn’t jump on her and bruise/cut her frail skin. No one likes to be jumped on by a dog, much less two. Anyway, I got to her house, and they both started toward her. I said the magic sound (that Ben had practiced with me) and both dogs stopped right away and walked away from her. Later, one of my mom’s friend’s visited and both dogs started to bark. Again, I said the magic sound and had to apply one additional method I was taught, and both dogs just sat down on either side of me. They sat there comfortably and didn’t bother my mom or her friend. Since then, things have been awesome with both dogs. My dogs seem much calmer now. Ben, came again a few weeks later and taught me how to walk my dogs on a leash without them pulling me. He also provided wonderful advice/suggestions on my dogs’ nutrition, thunder anxiety for one and separation anxiety for the other. Knowing that Ben is just a phone call/text away brings me so much peace! Can’t thank him enough for all that he taught and practiced with me!

We just met with Jodie at Bark Busters and had the best experience! She is clearly very knowledgeable about dog behaviors and has a very calming presence. We are really looking forward to seeing the progress our dogs will make using Bark Busters' training methods. We are all in!

I got a cute puppy during covid that grew into a 105 lb bundle of nerves. After a previous failed training stint I decided to try Bark Busters. Ben was amazing! Super professional and really connected with both us (we are being trained as well) and our dog. Seriously, this dog is like a new animal. Can not be happier about my results so far.

Omg Ben the best coach!! He amazing he knows how to teach us how to teach our Annie. Today July 19 was are first time meeting Ben. Ben already got us teaching how to talk to our dog Annie. Annie is already doing so much better. Walking her was a drag pulling and barking. Now, she walks when we walk and don't have to pull her. No more Jumping all over the door and barking at birds and squirrels. Dogs do learn fast with the right coach.

Ben had alot of good information and was helpful in showing us different techniques to address behaviors. Bean was responsive to these techniques. Now we have to put into practice. Ben has been great in that he answered all our questions and was encouraging when we attempted each one. I'm a work in progress, Bean's got it.

Our rescue dog has issues with aggression. We called Bark Busters as a last resort. We are so happy we did! Ben educated us on dog behavior and started right in with techniques to use on our dog. Absolutely the best outcome that we could have asked for. The first session both of our boys completely did a 180 with their behavior. Ben was so personable it felt like talking to a friend and he gave great advice. He took the time to answer all of my questions (which there were many). After this first session I feel like there is hope for my boys, mainly my older dog Joey who struggles with some aggression issues. I am looking forward to continue working on these skills and the ones still to learn.

OMG! Ben is awesome! He made our first meeting very informative and enjoyable. After my session with Ben, I knew I made a great decision. I’ve never felt like I had a handle on my dogs or their behavior, and it would easily overwhelm me. However, understanding how dogs think and why they do what they do, was really instrumental in allowing me to grasp what I need to do for my dogs to understand me. It almost felt like witchcraft how quickly my dogs responded to what I learned. I actually look forward to my homework and see what else I can learn about my dogs and how they can view me ☺️.

I’m so glad we found Ben at Bark Busters. We recently inherited a 2 year old 130lb Great Dane who went through a traumatic event that left him nervous, afraid and occasionally aggressive. He would growl at and chase the cats, growl and chase our small kids. I ended up very worried and afraid that our new very big dog was going to hurt someone. We made an appointment with Ben as soon as we could and we are amazed at how different of a dog we have after just our first training session! The night after Ben left our dog allowed one of our cats to come sleep in the bed and ignored her all night, he stopped barking at everyone he saw and most of all he’s no longer anxious around our small kids. Before if the kids got loud or ran he would growl and chase them down until they stopped, now he doesn’t even acknowledge when the kid comes running through a room he’s in. I finally have some peace of mind and I’m not anxious anymore that our dog is going to hurt anyone and if he does act out now thanks to Ben we have the tools to handle the situation and correct the behavior and understand why he acted the way he did. We can’t recommend Ben at Bark Busters enough. If you need help training your dog or understanding why they do what they do then go book that appointment, you won’t be disappointed!!

Look no further for your dog training needs. Ben has been crucial in helping us acclimate our new boxer pup with our other boxer. We have addressed everything from aggression, dominance, potty training and learning to "speak dog". Our dogs are now happy and playing together! Definitely a one stop shop for training. Ben and Kelly from BarkBusters saved me and allowed me to FINALLY have sanity and peace in my home where I have 2 cats ? and 2 dogs ?. Wow, what an amazing difference. I had adopted a one year old Aki-poo named Nylah who was literally out of control. I was actually worried she could not be trained. However our training session with Ben was very successful and Nylah reacted very well. We also received some really great nutritional advice and training trips. I just can’t believe how Nylah’s behavior successfully changed so drastically with their training techniques. I’m really impressed and a great investment.

Still can't believe the difference between ill mannered and well behaved results within 2 hours and counting!!! Wish I had called last year. We are all happier.

Ben was wonderful with our 7 month old Shih Tzu Mina. Before we met Ben her barking was off the charts! Ben gave us the tools we needed to correct her behavior and helped us set boundaries. He also explained why some of the things we were doing were actually reinforcing her “barky” behavior (we had no clue!). Absolute Magic!!! We brought home 11 month old Einstein (an American Bulldog mix) from the shelter almost 2 weeks ago and while it started off fine, it quickly turned in to him being suddenly afraid of our oldest daughter, as well as our vacuum and lawn mower (the latter two resulting in him biting me pretty dang hard). He was growling and lunging at our oldest and we knew if we couldn't get this fixed we would have no choice but to bring him back, which would break our hearts. In exactly one session with Ben, we had a changed dog on our hands. In a matter of 3 hours, we were not afraid of this dog anymore and we had the tools to make sure Einstein knew he had nothing to be afraid of either. I wouldn't have believed it was possible if I hadn't seen it myself. Even just the very next morning, we didn't have to do anything to stop Einstein from being cool as a cucumber when our oldest came upstairs to go to school. He even snuggled with her, which is mind blowing. In the other photo you can see him being completely chill while I rode my Peloton (which previously would result in him biting at my feet), AND while our other dog Bagel walked around the house. Usually those two play pretty hard and it's innocent, but Bagel is older and needs more rest breaks and usually Einstein does not like to comply. But here he is...leaving us both alone while we do our thing. This was life changing for us, and quite possibly saved Einstein's life, as who knows what would've happened if we had to take him back to county animal control. Thank you, thank you, thank you! We are so grateful to know that we have lifetime support for our sweet pup from a truly wonderful team!

I can't get over how quickly our dogs responded to the Bah...and the high pitch voice for rewards. These guys are game changers.

Living in Severna Park we had many options for dog trainers, but we are so thankful we chose Ben. After bringing home our fur baby to meet our new human baby, things did not go well. We feared the worst with what the future held for our dog. After 3 hours working with Ben our dog was completely changed. Amazing experience! In addition to Ben being an overall nice guy that my dog and I felt very comfortable with, the method really works! My dog struggles with separation anxiety and I've tried other training methods and medication, and saw some results, but not enough. I started seeing results with Bark Busters within the first day! Ben is amazing!! His training techniques are amazing! He taught me so much in just the first session. Ben was truly amazing. I have three young very hyper labs, and within about 15 minutes of working with each dog there was an unbelievable difference in their demeanor and behavior. This positive change has remained consistent even through the times of the day that were historically the most challenging (ie feeding time). Absolutely amazing from start to finish. We learned so much from our session with Ben. I was hesitant about the technique when it was first being explained, but our puppy responded AMAZING to it. If I could rate Ben more than 5 stars, I would. My situation: I have an 11-month-old black lab mix. We've had Macy for 2 weeks; she is a rescue and has moved from foster family to foster family in her short life. She is hyper, jumps, nips and bites. Basically, the average puppy behavior just ramped up. Ben arrived at our home around 4PM, sat down with my wife, my daughter and I and started the training. He trained us for the first hour, his background with the program, experiences and its ideology. I'm going to be honest, I thought he was full of it. Within 10 minutes of introducing Ben to Macy, I was a believer. She was calm, docile and ready to listen. I was amazed. I've never seen an untrained dog react this way. Over the course of the 3-hour session, Ben taught my family how to interact with our dog and get the behavior that every dog owner wants. My Macy is now sweet, loving and more importantly, RELAXED! Absolutely incredible! After years of trying other trainers, everything short of shocking to stop the barking and other behaviors, nothing worked! Now, we had 3 contented and obedient dogs after the first session. Bark Busters approach simply makes sense. Speak the dogs language and they will understand what you want them not to do. My experience with Ben was life changing. I watched my dog, and I have had many in my life, change right before my eyes. He is a 90lb male pit bull mix, who was a bit fearful and pushed to dominate. He loves people but would jump on them including myself and it was extremely stressful. Ben corrected this behavior within the first 30minutes of our time together with absolutely no physical force whatsoever! My dog went from fearful and unsure to calm and respectful; fear left him. Even his abandonment anxiety was relieved. I am so excited to continue the ability to speak dog language, and continue what Ben has shown me to build a wonderful relationship with my dog. Long story short: Ben has worked miracles for our family and really helped our dog grow more comfortable with her place in our "pack," especially after a chaotic introduction to having a newborn at home. Now, baby + pup can play together and mom + dad have confidence and trust in their behavior! The whole story (for anyone who's curious or debating hiring Bark Busters for your family - do it!): From the very first questionnaire I filled out online, I felt like this style of dog training would be the right solution for our family. I felt like our dog was good, not great - she doesn't beg, listens to a few commands, but barks like crazy and doesn't get along well with other dogs around. And at eight months pregnant with our first baby on the way, we knew it was smart to have a dog trainer start helping us. Our first session went beautifully and the tools Ben set us up with seemed to really work. Right away, we noticed a difference and we were able to work with our dog on several key target behaviors. She even grew more comfortable with strangers (a contractor at the time) coming into the house. When we brought our newborn baby home for the first time, it was extremely chaotic. Despite our early training and giving her baby stuff to smell, it was clear that our dog was NOT ready and not feeling friendly. We couldn't have them in the same room together without the dog being overly excited and on edge, and she barked at every baby cry. We called Ben from a place of desperation and he calmly talked us through each step of the way. We followed his direction and training plan for several weeks and made huge progress. By 2-3 months old, I am so happy/proud/relieved to say that both baby and pup are now friends. They can be in the same room, on the same couch, pup can approach and gently lick baby's face, and then walk away. This is so huge for our family, and we are extremely grateful. We have so much peace and confidence knowing that down the road, should we ever need a training refresher or need advice, we have Ben to call.

We are AMAZED! The change in my dog was instant. We are so grateful for Ben’s instruction. I could tell Ben was just as big of a dog lover as me, and he went out of his way to help me and my dog, Kobe. He taught me how to “speak dog,” how to communicate with Kobe in a way he instantly understands. The lesson was mostly teaching me, as Kobe got it right away! I have truly gained such valuable knowledge. I’m so excited to continue with the exercises I have learned and watch Kobe’s progress! Ben Miller is a patient young man. Our corgzilla is (WAS!!) a biter, barker, jumper and all around terrible fur kid—until my husband Tom found Bark Busters. Captain Kitsune (the corgzilla) had an amazing epiphany while Ben worked with us (10 minutes to train the dog—3 hours to train the humans ...) but the transformation is incredible. Captain Kitsune is now a beta male and drinks soy lattes so he can continue sharing a home with me. He has not once tried to dominate, bite, bark incessantly or rush past me to get outside. I cannot thank Ben and the Bark Busters for saving my sanity and this dog’s life. Tom is also very happy because he can keep his furry buddy and doesn’t have to listen to my kvetching about the dog anymore. I recommend this family of trainers to anyone.

We are extremely pleased with this program. Ben was extremely knowledgeable and a very patient teacher. It was amazing to see our dogs respond to the techniques that he taught us. Ben is super friendly and knowledgeable. He walked in and my dogs immediately responded to this type of training and they have continued to learn and improve. My eldest dog did not understand personal space but she has drastically improved thanks to the skills Bark Busters has provided me.

I had an amazingly informative session with Ben Miller! I was super surprised that my dogs were taking to the training so quickly. Ben was extremely personable, explained things very clearly, demonstrated things as many times as I needed them and even gave me tips on things that were not involved in actual training. It is very apparent that this company adores animals and knows what they are doing. The hardest part with all of this is going to be staying consistent with the training, I have a very busy schedule, however I am confident that the materials and instruction given to me will help with my dogs and their behavior. We are so thankful for Bark Busters Mid MD! When we first called Bark Busters, we were at the end of our rope with our Bluetick Coonhound rescue. He had a lot of things to work on. Ben did a great job educating our family on how to communicate better with our dog Cinnamon. He walked us through the steps with Cinnamon and we were amazed at how responsive Cinnamon was. We continue to practice and Cinnamon is doing well with the training. Our dog who would normally run to the window/ door to bark at people or other dogs walking in front of our home stayed quiet, stayed at the top of the stairs without running to the door while watching 3 dogs being walked after utilizing Ben’s strategy this morning.

We recently had my daughter's dog move back in with us after he was a little aggressive with her landlord. He had lived with us before for months and was getting increasing aggressive with dogs, bikes, and sometimes people. We don't have a fenced yard and walk him several times a day. Beyond impressed with the dog training we received working with Kelly! We noticed a drastic improvement in behavior with our dog within the first training session with Kelly. Kelly was an absolute pleasure. I cannot believe how effective the tips were and how receptive our dog, Lola, was to all of it! She was literally a different dog by the time Kelly left the first session. All of the information she provided made so much sense and she was patient in answering all of our questions. Truly an amazing experience. I honestly regret not knowing about her sooner. Unlike other trainers, she had us doing things in real-time and in real environments so she could see Lola’s behavior and it worked out amazingly.
